We Told You So announce A New Frame of Mind, out april 17, 2026

Annonce sortie album we told you so - A new frame of mind

From Trois-Rivières to your speakers: Quebec melodic punk rock band WE TOLD YOU SO are about to hit hard with A New Frame of Mind, an 8-track album dropping April 17. One week from now. Here’s the rundown.

Three singles, building up the pressure

Before the album even lands, WE TOLD YOU SO have already dropped three singles. Each one says a lot about what the band put into this record.

First up: “Pas Besoin D’Toé” — and right off the bat, the tone is set. The band sings in French and owns their Quebec identity without apology.

Then on January 14, “Anchor in the Storm” — and that’s where things shift emotionally. The song was written as a tribute to the lead singer’s mother, who passed away during the recording process. It’s about the people who keep us grounded when everything falls apart around us. The kind of song that doesn’t need any polish — the raw emotion does the work, and you can hear it.

On March 12, “Time to Rise” closed out the pre-release run on a different, more combative note. No frills, no hesitation — straight-up punk rock, direct and unfiltered. The band describes it as a declaration of self-affirmation, a refusal to stay silent, an anthem for anyone who’s done being pushed around. Hard not to get behind that.

If you haven’t listened yet, now’s the time.

A New Frame of Mind: a fully committed vision

8 tracks, a full-on punk/DIY aesthetic, no compromises. The band is clear about it: this album is about breaking old patterns, finding clarity, and rebuilding. We’ve got one week to wait — April 17 will tell us if they deliver.

Merch available for pre-order

WE TOLD YOU SO are also putting out a limited vinyl edition — yellow and black, naturally, in line with their sharp visual identity. Available for pre-order on rebelsoundcollective, alongside the CD version. A band that drops a DIY vinyl alongside their album is a band that believes in what they’re doing. And that’s something we respect and stand behind.

More to Come on Pop Punk Rock Universe

An interview with the band is coming soon to the site. We want to dig into how the album came together, what Trois-Rivières and their Quebec identity mean to their sound, and what this “New Frame of Mind” really looks like from the inside. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, they’ll be playing next Saturday night at Salle Louis-Philippe-Poisson in Trois-Rivières as part of the 123Punk 2026 tour. You can find the review of the launch show and all the tour info right here.
