Break Out!! – A star-studded EP production
Produced by Grammy-winning Erik Ron (I Prevail, Staind, Bush) and platinum record producer and Escape the Fate guitarist Kevin Thrasher (Panic! At The Disco, Blink-182, Avril Lavigne), Break Out!! delves into relatable emotions and experiences. The EP kicks off with fan favorites and previously released singles, “Living in the Moment” and “Skip a Beat.” In “Hold me,” Sarina shares raw and honest feelings, a blend of nostalgia, missed potential, and never quite feeling good enough.
An Anthem of Pop-Punk Energy
With a fist-pumping chorus and high energy from the very first note, “Why am I so sad?!” marks the peak of Sarina’s musical journey in this EP, propelling her forward as a songwriter and performer. She embraces those moments “when we feel sad for no reason…and sometimes, the best thing we can do is laugh at it.”
The EP closes with what Sarina calls her “cutest song yet,” “I know nothing.” This track touches on the futility of understanding life and learning to accept unexpected challenges. “It’s a song about realizing how little we truly know in life. Life is uncontrollable and often unexpected, and what we think we know can be tossed out the window like a cartoon banana peel. There’s something ridiculous, wonderful, and so comforting about that,” she explains.
A Unique Musical Journey
Born in Hawaii and raised in Tokyo by her Lebanese mother and Japanese father, Sarina was drawn to music and creative freedom from an early age. She quickly mastered piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, and bass, naturally extending her musical journey. Her debut single, “Identity,” was released under the Sony RED label, followed by five more singles. Then, she release an EP titled Foreword, and six self-directed music videos highlighting her original concepts and detailed symbolism. In May 2024, she co-founded and launched the SyrenSong label. Sarina’s music has gained recognition, landing her on Ones To Watch’s Now Watching and Apple Music’s New in Rock playlists.
